California Cheese Pizza

Colors' California Style Crust serves as the foundation for this oven-ready pizza topped with our own zesty tomato pizza sauce, freshly grated whole milk mozzarella and a pinch of oregano.

The crust is hand pushed in a pizza pan, then hand dimpled, so the sauce is "trapped" in the depressions.

This gives each bite a different amount of sauce-to-crust ratio, and the result is a distinctive taste profile.
 

We brush the crust with a tomato-water solution, which adds a light red hue, speeds up the browning during the final baking and ensures that the crust will attain a nice golden brown color at the same time as the cheese.
